There was a time when the exotic snow-capped locales of the picturesque Switzerland provided backdrop for romantic song sequences in Hindi films.

Now, we have entire films set in foreign lands and what's more, have them feature in the title too!

Aditi Rao Hydar and Ali Zafar-starrer London Paris New York,that released today, is set in three beautiful cities and has them in the movie title too.

Actress Preity Zinta's comeback film Ishk In Paris is also an ode to a city known to be the most romantic place in the world.

Here's looking at Hindi films that have foreign places in their titles.

New York

Kabir Khan's 2009 thrillerNew York had Katrina Kaif, John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh in lead roles as college friends residing in the city.

Unexpected turn of events brings the three friends together again and the film ends on a tragic note.

Namaste London

In Vipul Shah's hit 2007 filmNamaste London, Akshay Kumar plays a blue-blooded Punjabi lover boy who wins over his wife (Katrina Kaif), an Indian girl born and brought up in London with a very western outlook.

She's tricked into marrying Kumar by her father who's afraid she'd elope with her English boyfriend.

London Dreams

Yet another Vipul Shah film, London Dreams was a film about two friends (played by Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn) who come from musical families and aspire to make it big in London as rock musicians.

Ajay Devgn forms a band and calls upon her childhood friend Khan to join him and his bandmates.

Kabul Express

Kabir Khan's 2006 filmKabul Expressfollows the trials of two Indian journalists (played by John Abraham and Arshad Warsi) when they are sent to Afghanistan to report about how the war has affected the country and its people.

The duo starts their journey from Kabul, befriend a pretty American journalist on the way and escape the Taliban.

Love At Times Square

One of Dev Anand's many trips to New York resulted in him falling in love with the liveliness that surrounds the famous Times Square around New Year's eve.

Inspired by the bonhomie on display and feeling a little lonely himself since he was alone on that trip, the late legend made a film capturing the magic on camera.

The film failed to work at the box office though.

Chandni Chowk To China

Akshay Kumar plays a bumbling vegetable-cutter in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, who is spotted by a group of Chinese men who believe that he's the reincarnation of their late war hero.

So he follows them to China, believeing it'll change his luck for the better.

Mission Istanbul

Apoorva Lakhia's 2008 action film starring Viveik Oberoi, Zayed Khan, Suneil Shetty and Shabbir Ahluwalia received generally negative reviews.

The film has the actors travelling to Istanbul to fight terrorist Al Jahora.

Balle Balle Amritsar To LA

Gurinder Chaddha's followed up her hugely successful soccer filmBend It Like Beckhamwith an Indian adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice.

Aishwarya played Lalita (Elizabeth in the novel) and New Zealand actor Martin Williams was Fitzwillaim Darcy. The film, titled Bride And Predjudice was dubbed in Hindi with a new name, Balle Balle Amritsar To LA.

Bombay To Bangkok

Shreyas Talpade-starrer madcapBombay To Bangkok was filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor's first attempt at comedy.

The film had Talpade play a thief who flees to Bangkok after pulling off a robbery.
