Malaika Arora Khan takes on Katrina Kaif!

After Munni Badnaa Hui, Malaika Arora Khan seems to have disappeared. And the ones ruling the item girl platform is the likes of Katrina Kaif who have added to their 'Sheila Ki Jawani' kind of numbers and are being applauded loudly.

Anyway, may hay while the sun shines, dearies, for Malaika Arora Khan is all set to make a comback with Anarkali Disco Chali in Sajid Khan's Housefull 2, and choreographing this number is none other than the Munni Badnaam Hui choreographer Farah Khan!

When we contacted Malaika, she urged us not to make comparisons. "The song is peppy and sounds good. Munni Badnaam Hui... has become a cult song, this one, too, we'll try and make unique." So what preparations does Malaika do before she embarks on an item number? "Nothing at all," she tells us, "You go there, and dance! You do what the choreographer asks you to do, and have a good time!"

Tell Malaika, that it was her Munni number that helped Dabangg go that extra mile, and she humbly states, "It's very nice when people like your work. Dabangg was more than just Munni... It's a cult film!"

Farah Khan, on the other hand, is unperturbed at the comparisons. "Dance is my first love. We are going to have fun doing it. That's all I know as of now!" she says. Farah goes on to state that every actress is wonderful, but Malaika has an oomph that still rocks the industry!

Malika Arora Khan

After sizzling with her Munni Badnaam Hui song, Malika Arora Khan will become Anarkali in an item song Anarkali Disco Chali from Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Housefull 2. Choreographer Farah Khan, who has choreographed the song Munni is again approached for the song Anarkali Disco Challi.

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif has bagged another item number and this time it is in Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath. After making the nation go crazy with ˜Sheila Ki Jawaani" and recently grooving to the title track Bodyguard, she will be seen doing an item number yet again; this time with Sanjay Dutt, who plays the bad man Kancha Cheena in Agneepath. This will be the first time Katrina and Sanjay will be sharing screen space.

Chitrangda Singh

Chitrangda Singh, who is otherwise known for her critically acclaimed role in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, has been roped in by director Shirish Kunder to do an item number in the film Joker. Buzz has it that apart from Sonakshi Sinha's item number, there will be another song titled Kaafirana, to be performed by Chitrandga. "Kaafirana is essentially a rustic song with a raunchy flavour to it. We wanted a fresh yet sensual face, and not the usual, go-to item girls of today. Also, Chitrangda hasn't done an item number before, so the novelty value is very high," says Shirish Kunder.

Sonakshi Sinha

Director Shirish Kunder admits that while Chitrangada will be performing on 'Kaafirana', Sonakshi already has an item number in the film. This will be first time that Sonakshi will be seen dancing on-screen in the song 'Dance Karle English Mein' from the film Joker. Apart from performing an item number in the film, Sonakshi will also be playing the lead role in the film opposite Akshay Kumar.

Priyanka Chopra

We have seen Priyanka shaking her waist as ˜Desi girl" with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in 'Dostana'. Following the trend as others, Priyanka is now ready to sizzle in Priyadarshan's upcoming 'Tezz', that stars Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, and Kangana Ranaut. This will be Priyanka's first solo item number. The music of the song is composed by Sajid Wajid.
